The effectiveness of the Delphi program can be seen in the results obtained with students. Our Middle School students take the California Achievement Tests (CAT) annually, regularly scoring at least one grade level ahead of age and quite often two and three grade levels ahead. But the results that mean the most to us can be found in the attitudes and behavior of our students, as well as in the enthusiasm and support from our parents. We invite you to find out for yourself what our students and their parents say they have gained from the Middle School program.

Success Stories from Students

"Coming to Delphi was probably the best decision I've made in my life yet. I am so glad that I did it. I have learned so much that is so valuable to me. Before I came here, I was a glib student, but I had never noticed it. The staff here noticed it and started handling it in Standards and Ethics. I read some references and I finally noticed that I really was glib. So, I got it handled so that I was able to work efficiently without being glib. For the first time, I was able to really study and learn.

"I have been given so many more responsibilities here also, and it has made me such a better person for it. It helped me to realize that I can do anything I want to do if I just put my mind to it and try hard. I never thought I could confront certain things and that I'd have to sneak my way around them or something. But now I feel I could confront anything put in front of me, and I could do it well too.

"I am so happy at what a good product Delphi has helped me become. This really has definitely saved my life so that I can now become much more successful and happy. I really feel good about myself now, and I am so grateful to everyone here who has helped me become what I am. Thanks!"
B.T., Form 6 Graduate

"Friends of mine who don't go to Delphi always tell me that they don't like school. You know, it's a pity! I'm almost always waiting for Monday to come again. I love learning and it's not because I'm a peculiar person. It's because I go to Delphi. Other schools always have their children worrying about more tests to take and more facts that must be remembered. But what's the point of taking all these tests and remembering all those facts when you can't put them to real use? Delphi really emphasizes that point. They want and are able to help students use the data they're studying. I have a friend who is a teacher, and she told me that there was a high school graduate who could not write a proper English sentence. Look around you. There are illiterate people everywhere. Not at Delphi though. I really love this school and I wish I could see all children get an education like mine. It will take your breath away!"
J. H., Age 15

"As a student at Delphi I have learned about the rules, codes and ethics during the Delphi Student Orientation Course. In math, I have reviewed and found things I didn't know. I dissected a frog and learned about its anatomy and physiology. As a person at Delphi I have found new friends and a new way of studying. In my old school, you memorized for a test and in a week it was gone. But here, you learn it for life."
A. K., Age 13

"I liked reading Gone with the Wind. I learned a lot of things about the Civil War that I didn't know. I am happy that I read this book because I never thought I would be able to read such a big book and understand it!"
J. D., Age 14

"Wow! What a season my girls' soccer team had. I am amazed at our great success and the new abilities we achieved over the period of three months. I am so unbelievably proud of the girls on my team for being so nice, showing such great sportsmanship and for their incredible skills. We earned every bit of happiness and success, and I'm glad Jimmy was our coach because he taught me the ability to play fair and with sportsmanship and to give it all I had so I could work toward my goals. I am glad I had this experience and even more so for the team I had to play with. Thank you."
S. C., Age 15

"This was the most enjoyable Understanding Sentences checksheet I have done so far. Learning about objective and nominative cases has really shown me the correct way to use noun and pronouns. I am very glad I have this data and I will most definitely use it."
A.V., Age 15

"Greek Mythology was a very enjoyable checksheet. I've always really enjoyed mythology, especially Greek. Reading the stories about the Olympians was very fun and I really like each individual god and the things that they did."
A.V., Age 15

"The Science of Music is one of the best books I have ever read. It explained a whole lot of information about all different types of instruments so well. They even explained how the human voice works! From reading this book I learned how the electric guitar works. Also, from reading this book I learned more on exactly what music is!!!"
A.B., Age 15

"I finally learned how to use a compass. I loved this checksheet. It was one of my favorite math checksheets."
C.R., Age 12

"I learned about nominative case and objective case pronouns and nouns. I now know correct grammar!"
A.B., Age 15

"I really loved these books, especially Warriors Don't Cry. It was such a good book that told me all about immigration. It was so good and I loved it so much!"
T.K., Age 12

"I learned from this course how to write professional looking essays that really get my opinion across clearly and in a way enjoyable to the reader."
L.L., Age 15

Success Stories from Parents

"I love the Delphi program for my children and they love it too! They look forward to going to school each day. I have no problem with the girls, no arguments, no peer situations, no drugs or alcohol, no problems period! They are wonderful girls, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoy every minute with them. This I attribute to the standards Delphi sets for the student body as regards to ethics, their application of the Study Technology, the personal integrity they instill in the students and the loving, caring, nurturing teachers that they have. The standards are high and academics rigorous and the students thrive on it. The school achieves stellar products among their students. I see it everyday!"
JZ, Delphi parent

"I was directed by my daughters to attend their soccer game, and I'm very glad I did. I want to congratulate you on this soccer team that you have built. I was extremely surprised at the discipline of these players and how well they played together. There certainly was not a student on or off the field that was either taking a loss or not feeling that they were contributing. In fact, each player seemed to be demonstrating skills beyond what one would normally expect their performance level to be at. Probably equally important, there seemed to be no student who thought they were bigger than the team. Watching those students running around the field, they clearly demonstrated an enthusiasm for the game. Let me tell you, what you have done is quite amazing."
R. A., Parent

"We wanted to let all the Delphi staff know how well they are appreciated by us. Our daughter attended your school for ten years, since the age of four. Since the very beginning, the school has always demonstrated very high devotion, dedication and integrity in [our daughter's] educational experience––not only in the classroom, but in the overall environment of the school. The quality of care and ethics provided by your school had a profound influence in her development. We were always very pleased with her academic progress, but were equally grateful to the quality of the environment you all created. She recently completed her first year at The Delphian School (high school in Oregon). In no uncertain terms, she has been flourishing there and with no uncertainty, we feel this has to do mostly with what she experienced here at Delphi in Florida. You will always be in our hearts."
