Week 1 : June 30 – July 4
Lower School Theme: I LOVE AMERICA
WEEK
Our young patriots will make a large American flag from cupcakes decorated in red,
white and blue and participate in history lessons about Independence Day. Lower School Day Trips include Preschool (age 2 – 3) – Lowry Park
Zoo; Beginner 1 (age 4)
– Fire Station Tour; Beginner
2 & Form 1 (age 5 – 7) – Ice Skating and Swim Lessons;
Form 2 (age 7 – 8)
– Ft. DeSoto Beach and Independence Day Activities.
Elementary & Middle School Trips
Form 3 & Form 4 (age
8 – 11) – Adventure Island Water Park;
Middle School (age 11 – 14) – Hillsborough River Canoe Trip.
Thursday is Red, White and Blue Clothes
Day.
Week 2: July 7 – July 11
Lower School Theme: UNDER THE SEA WEEK
Our young oceanographers will learn about the importance of sea life, the food chain
and the interdependence of all life in the ocean. Trips to local aquariums highlight
this week. Lower School Day Trips
include Preschool (age 2 – 3) –
Clearwater Aquarium; Beginner 1
(age 4) – Swim Lessons and Clearwater Aquarium; Beginner 2 & Form 1 (age 5 – 7) –
Swim Lessons, Coral Sea Aquarium and Weeki Wachee;
Form 2 (age 7 – 8) – Coral Sea Aquarium and Highland Aquatic
Center.
Elementary & Middle School Trips
Form 3 & Form 4 (age
8 – 11) – Honeymoon Island;
Middle School (age 11 – 14) – Swimming and Pool Party.
Friday is Funny Hat Day.
Week 3: July 14 – July 18
Lower School Theme: PIRATE WEEK
Pirate history and a Buccanneer Scavenger Hunt will make this week special for every
young Captain Jack in your family. The trips for the week will take the students
onto the ocean. Lower School Day Trips
include Preschool (age 2
– 3) – Pirates come to school;
Beginner 1 (age 4) – Swim Lessons and Pirates come to school; Beginner 2 & Form 1
(age 5 – 7) – Coast Guard tour, Pirate Treasure Hunt and Swim Lessons;
Form 2 (age 7 – 8)
– Coast Guard tour & Seabird Sanctuary and beach.
Elementary & Middle School Trips
Form 3 & Form 4 (age
8 – 11) – Bowling; Middle
School (age 11 – 14) – Adventure Island Water Park.
Friday is Favorite T-shirt Day.
Week 4: July 21 – July 25
Lower School Theme: ONCE UPON A TIME
WEEK
Fairy Tales will take center stage this week when students will learn about these
timeless tales and will write and perform in their own Fairy Tale Show. Lower School Day Trips include Preschool (age 2 – 3) Library and the park;
Beginner 1 (age 4) Swim
Lessons and Largo Park; Beginner 2
& Form 1 (age 5 – 7) Royalty & Fairy Tale Theaters and
Swim Lessons; Form 2 (age
7 – 8) Weeki Wachee and bowling.
Elementary & Middle School Trips
Form 3 (age 8 – 9)
– Museum of Science and Industry;
Form 4 (age 8 – 11) &
Middle School (age 11 – 14) – Ginnie Springs Three-Day
Overnight Trip.
Friday is Wild Hair Day.
Week 5: July 28 – August 1
Lower School Theme: COOKING WEEK
Young chefs rule when students learn the basics of cooking and make and share their
own edible creations. Lower School
Day Trips include Preschool
(age 2 – 3) – A chef comes to school;
Beginner 1 (age 4) – Swim Lessons and a chef comes to school; Beginner 2 & Form 1
(age 5 – 7) – Macaroni Grill Restaurant, Lower School Feast and Swim
Lessons; Form 2 (age 7 –
8) – Macaroni Grill Restaurant and Lower School Feast.
Elementary & Middle School Trips
Form 3 (age 8 – 9)
– Swimming and party; Form 4
(age 8 – 11) & Middle School
(age 11 – 14) – Big Cat Rescue.
Friday is Make a New T-shirt Day.
Week 6: August 4 – August 8
Lower School Theme: CIRCUS WEEK
The circus comes to Delphi when students learn about the history of the circus and
the different kinds of circuses. A trip to the Ringling Museum completes the week.
Lower School Day Trips include
Preschool (age 2 –
3) – Mocassin Lake Park; Beginner
1 (age 4) – Swim Lessons and Library;
Beginner 2 & Form 1 (age 5 – 7) – Primate Sanctuary,
Ringling Brothers Museum and Swim Lessons;
Form 2 (age 7 – 8) – Primate Sanctuary and Ringling Brothers
Museum.
Elementary & Middle School Trips
Form 3 & Form 4 (age 8 –
11) – Weeki Wachee; Middle School
(age 11 – 14) – New York City Weeklong Trip (additional fee).
Friday is Mismatched Shoes Day.
Week 7: August 11 – August 15
Lower School Theme: ICE CREAM WEEK
Just in time for the hot summer is Ice Cream Week where students will learn different
ways to make ice cream and create their own ice cream flavors. A trip to the Marble
Slab Creamery punctuates the week.
Lower School Day Trips include
Preschool (age 2 – 3) Hand On Planet Earth; Beginner 1 (age 4) Swim Lessons and Hand
On Planet Earth; Beginner 2 & Form
1 (age 5 – 7) – Marble Slab Icecreamery and Ice Cream Social;
Form 2 (age 7 – 8)
– Marble Slab Icecreamery and Ice Skating.
Elementary & Middle School Trips
Form 3 & Form 4 (age 8 –
11) – Primate Sanctuary Park;
Middle School (age 11 – 14) – Bowling.
Friday is Inside Out Clothes Day.
Week 8: August 18 – August 22
Lower School Theme: PET WEEK
This is the week for pet lovers and will include a seminar on how to take care of
your pet, pet show-and-tell and a pet parade. Field trips to the Big Cat Rescue
Sanctuary and SPCA highlight this week's excursions. Lower School Day Trips include
Preschool (age 2 – 3) &
Beginner 1 (age 4) – Petting Zoo comes to school; Beginner 2 & Form 1 (age 5 –
7) – Sea World (additional fee);
Form 2 (age 7 – 8) – Kennedy Space Center Three-Day Trip
(additional fee).
Elementary & Middle School Trips
Form 3 & Form 4 (age 8 - 11) –
White Water Rafting and YMCA Camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains (additional fee);
Middle School (age 11 – 14) – Madeira Beach and shopping.
Friday is Colored Hair Day.
